Self Care...Is It? Do It Yourself@ImSooDone.com

Updated: Jan 26, 2023

The Tough Mudder Isolation Mode

Why are soo many people around the world feel drained and cannot find the power and motivaton anymore to care for themselves?

We live in an extremely dysfucntional society where everyone competes with each other and fights with each other over jobs.

It's a "fetch for yourself and get our of my way" mentality. Everyone fights their fights alone.

We don't have a tribe behind our back.

If we want to get some care like having a massage, getting our hair done or any holistic body treatments, then we need to pay a lot of money for it, and even then...we can feel that it's rarely the genuine caring connection that we were longing for. It's just another soul-less act for money, for survival...alone.

As a society we are so starved of real and deep caring connections, that we feel drained, that there is rarely enough energy even to have a shower or wash our hair sometimes.

We are really and truly struggling inside. All of us.

We lost the deep bond that tribes have. We lost our ability to connect with each other deeply.

We traded in our deep connections for a fast world.

Where are we running? What are we running from?

Maybe from our demons that hount us because we cannot find true peace in our hearts.

The very thing missing is connection.

Real deep connection to each other as a tribe.

We miss rituals that are spiritual in nature and also a deep form of caring for each other.

Braiding each others hair as a tribe is a very different experience then going to the hairdresser.

Massaging each other like we care, and it's not for money.

I help you, you help me. You help me, I help others.

Let's do it for each other!

It doesn't need to be self care.

Wouldn't it feel much better to do everything for each other?

That you get to wash somebody's hair and they wash yours?

When did we forget that it feels good to do things for each other? That it energizes us somehow, like when we give a present for a loved one. We seem to overlook this magical effect and then sink into the black and grey mud of the world.

Self Care became a movement in our modern society that makes you think that it's amazing. Yet In my oppinion it's an isolating act and mentality of people who are drained already, because they are being starved of real connections. Such a paradox right there!

The answer is not to be tougher and having to do it all alone for yourself and call it Self-Care...No.

The answer is helping each other. Caring for each other.

The answer is doing it for each other...as a Tribe.
